Now offering this 12 week class in our ceramics studios! Students with a firm foundation in basic technical skills will enjoy this class. Form, surface design, glazing, and firing will be explored in greater depth during this class. Advanced students with five sessions or the equivalent, (or working at a level determined to be advanced by the instructor) will be required to do their own firing in cooperation with the Canton Ceramic Artists Guild to deepen their understanding of the process.

Additional costs, not included with class cost:
*All CMA ceramics students are required to purchase their clay from the CMA; the cost is $40.00 for 25 pounds of clay and includes cost of glazes and firing.
*Beginning students may also purchase a pottery tool kit ($13.50) from the CMA
*Both clay and ceramics tools can be purchased during the first day of class and throughout the session as needed.

COVID UPDATE:
*Students and instructors will be required to wear a mask even if fully vaccinated or under the age of 18, please maintain courteous social distance.
*If the Ohio Public Health Advisory System makes recommendations that is unsafe to hold class in person, this class will be rescheduled or canceled.

Individual projects will include functional pottery and decorative work. Discover the ceramic process from start to finish, learn glazing techniques, watch demonstrations and receive one-on-one attention with instructor help and feedback. Taken the class before? Instructor works with each individual student to see them grow, sign up for multiple classes!

Now offering this Art Play Date in-person! Parents, come join your little artists in this exciting day time workshop. You and your child will be immersed in multisensory art making activity stations for toddlers and adults to enjoy together. Have fun learning and playing together while helping your little artist get started in the world of art. Explore the Pop Art on display in the exhibit, "POP!" and see artwork created by famous artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons and more! Then create an assortment of art inspired by Pop Art using a variety of mixed media materials.

*Cost includes all supplies for both one child and one adult to do together.

Fused Glass Nightlights

Now offering this NEW one-time workshop in person! Create a beautiful glass nightlight you will cherish always! Professional glass artist, Carol Comer, will walk you step-by-step through the process of glass fusing. Get creative as you want and design a unique piece only limited by your imagination. After you create your design, pieces will be fired in our kiln so the glass can fuse together into a finished piece of art. Then your instructor will construct your nightlight ready to plug in and enjoy! All skill levels welcome. (Students will need to make arrangements to pick up pieces two-four weeks after class.)

*Cost includes all art supplies.
*$15 worth of materials included in class cost.
