Offering this 12 week class in our ceramics studios! This class is available for advanced students that have taken at least four ceramics classes at CMA or have received instructor approval to take the class. Form, surface design, glazing, and firing will be explored in greater depth during this class. Advanced students who have taken five or more CMA ceramics classes or working at a level determined to be advanced by the instructor will be required to do their own firing in cooperation with the Canton Ceramic Artists Guild to deepen their understanding of the process.
Advanced ceramics students are now eligible for independent study at CMA! This option is available for a limited number of students that have taken at least three ceramics classes at CMA. Your registration fee provides access to the studio during open studio hours, a locker for storage, access to studio tools and equipment, and a professional teaching artist mentor available to get you setup and answer any questions you may have through email. Studio hours run from 1/8/23 - 3/26/23 which coincides with our winter ceramics class schedule.

Offering this NEW one-time workshop in-person! Inspired by the fantasy and nature in the exhibit "Potion Park: The Kaleidoscopic Garden of Steve Ehret and Kat Francis." Bring your garden inside by learning to wet felt whimsical flowers. Harness your creativity to incorporate nature's colors and make these felt sculptures limited only by your imagination. Learn the art of wet felting using wool, a resist, soap, and water to make a seamless no sew project in a day! All skill levels welcome.
