Create your own fused glass dish or bowl. Basic glass cutting techniques and assembling using precut glass are discussed in this workshop. A bowl design and form is easily achieved without cutting any glass. Dish size is approximately 4 inches. All skill levels are welcome. Work will be ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks. Explore the Japanese pottery design techniques of mixing (neri), pressing into (komi), and pulling up (age) in a combined process of laminating colored clay by hand and on the wheel to create unique marbleized patterns and layered surface design. Paint from light to dark, create representational shapes, play with edges and paint puddles, highlight with gum arabic, texturize with salt Water is a known stress-relieving element found in nature, and painting with watercolor as therapeutic benefits as the medium allows for loose and tighter styles of application with intense or muted color results. This series focuses on building confidence in technique through a multisensory approach based on the colors, textures, and shapes found in nature. Ages 18+. Registration includes watercolor pigments, paper, and solvents.

Early enrichment is all about two things: meaningful experiences and self-directed play. Yoga in the Galleries is led by Michael Curtis, owner of The Yoga Place and Yoga Central Ohio. This one-time offering includes basic yoga poses that emphasize the synergy between ones personal energy space and the space occupied by art and ideas. Participants provide their own yoga mats.
