Intermediate Level Classic Oil Painting is designed for students who have completed one or more classes with instructor Lin Luciano Fiore. Students receive 4 new paint colors and canvas. Learn advanced techniques to take your Impressionistic painting skills to a new level of Realism. Please bring materials from Classic Oil Painting I to the first day of class. Embrace the dramatic cloud-filled skies that winter brings in this classical realism course led by Lin Luciano Fiore. Learn techniques for dramatic sky painting, including loose application and softly drifting, back-lit clouds with impressionistic simplicity. Gain a deep understanding of the tenants of oil painting by following the process of blocking in and establishing a light source from start to finish. Each participant must use Lin Luciano Fiore's personally chosen materials for this class which include water-soluble oils, a medium that offers all the benefits of regular oil paint without the unpleasant odor of turpentine.

Find your inner calm through the tip of the brush as you learn how to shape, blend, mix and create value with one of the most forgiving mediums on canvas. The quick-drying, water soluble nature of acrylic paint makes it easy to re-work mistakes and create a personal style. This painting series explores color theory, mood creation, and expressionism while painting to different genres of music. Some prior drawing experience is required. Ages 18+. Registration includes acrylic paint sets, gesso, raw canvas, and stretcher bars.

Paint from light to dark, create representational shapes, play with edges and paint puddles, highlight with gum arabic, texturize with saltWater is a known stress-relieving element found in nature, and painting with watercolor as therapeutic benefits as the medium allows for loose and tighter styles of application with intense or muted color results. This series focuses on building confidence in technique through a multisensory approach based on the colors, textures, and shapes found in nature. Ages 18+. Registration includes watercolor pigments, paper, and solvents.
