Smartphone photography and video allow us to document our lives in an instant, but what is the essence of true memory-making and why is it important? Offering this one-time workshop in-person! Need something unique for your home or as a gift? Learn the art of wet felting using wool, a resist, soap, and water to make a seamless no sew project in a day! Many variations to choose from to make it your own unique creation. All skill levels welcome.

Now offering this NEW one-time workshop in-person! Inspired by the cities in the exhibit "Continued Continuing: Paintings by Amy Casey." The setting of this world is a lone tower, overlooking a vast island covered with a canopy of treetops, that stretches to the sea. As the only known inhabitant on this island, you must ask yourself what the future world looks like? Will there be a balance of landscape and industry? Will we eventually run out of shared, safe spaces? Sculpt a small scale model of an imaginary, unfinished world using building materials and found objects.

Offering this one-time workshop in-person! Design and create your very own wall vase. Use earthy stoneware clay to make a vase that will hang on a wall. Choose patterns and textures to enhance a bouquet of flowers. No experience needed, all levels welcome!

In conjunction with the Art for Health & Healing Program, the Canton Museum of Art welcomes you to a special mindfulness workshop that focuses on slowing down, relieving stress, and learning to use creativity to increase awareness of self and be present in the moment. Join our Art for Health & Healing Program Coordinator, Dianne Papes, as she directs you through the intuitive process of creating a mandala using watercolor techniques. Mandala's have been found throughout the centuries.
