Students will learn about animal species and animal conservation while creating art projects that focus on learning a variety of art techniques including 2D and 3D media.

Visit the galleries to see famous ceramic pieces first hand, tour the ceramics lab and learn the process that clay goes through from beginning to end. Create functional, decorative, and sculptural pieces to cherish always! (Families will need to make arrangements to pick up fired pieces two-four weeks after class.)

Students enrolled in this course will learn fundamental drawing techniques from observation and other sources, using a variety of materials such as charcoal, pencil, graphite, and pastels. Learn how to use value, perspective, shading, line, texture and more!

Now offering this six week course online! Interact with artist Katy Frick and fellow students through this fun hands on class. Learn basic techniques on how to draw Japanese Anime character stylization and create your own original characters. Time will be allotted to work during class offering one on one attention with real time instructor help and feedback. Students will study the basics of human anatomy and how to adjust the proportions to create illustrations with this unique art form using a variety of basic art materials.
