Now offering this NEW one-time workshop in-person! Inspired by the clay animal sculptures in the exhibit "Thinking with Animals." Learn techniques for transforming polymer clay into your own miniature collection of these adorable cube-shaped animals. Instructions will be sent home on how to bake in the oven to harden.

Everywhere you look, color holds meaning. It evokes emotion, describes ideas, and conveys symbolism. Through creativity, students will create their own 2D art utilizing a variety of drawing and painting materials. Some of the projects include color theory, color symbolism, color science, and more! Discover the role of color in art and just how powerful colors can be.

Visit the galleries to see famous ceramic pieces first hand, tour the ceramics lab and learn the process that clay goes through from beginning to end. Bring your garden inside by learning to wet felt whimsical flowers. Harness your creativity to incorporate nature's colors and make these felt sculptures limited only by your imagination. Learn the art of wet felting using wool, a resist, soap, and water to make a seamless no sew project in a day! All skill levels welcome.

Ceramic Windowsill Planter

Offering this NEW one-time workshop in-person! Design and create your very own windowsill planter perfect for small indoor plants or herbs in the winter. Use earthy stoneware clay and basic hand building techniques to make a conversation piece you will cherish always. No experience needed, all levels welcome. Students will need to make arrangements to pick up fired pieces two-four weeks after workshop and will be emailed when ready.
