In this workshop, students will learn about the history of Carnival masks and create a whimsical paper mache head of their very own. Have fun being a little silly and use your sense of humor to create exaggerated features using paper mache techniques to bring your sculptures to life. All experience levels welcome.

Students will discover how artist, Matthew Christopher, captures the mesmerizing beauty and lost history of various derelict buildings. Enjoy a short lecture with Bert Nero, an Ikebana (The Art of Japanese Flower Arranging) practitioner, who will speak on her experiences and the history of Ikebana.
