Enjoy a short lecture with Bert Nero, an Ikebana (The Art of Japanese Flower Arranging) practitioner, who will speak on her experiences and the history of Ikebana. Then create a vase inspired by these beautiful arrangements. Students will use basic hand building techniques to make a ceramic container suitable for displaying their own Ikebana inspired flower arrangement. All skill levels welcome

Through creativity, students will repurpose and upcycle "abandoned" materials to create beautiful 2D and 3D artworks utilizing unique and sometimes unconventional items to create something new!

Visit the galleries to see famous ceramic pieces first hand, tour the ceramics lab and learn the process that clay goes through from beginning to end.
