This course explores the art of painting the human figure using a clothed model. The popularity of water-soluble oils in these classes stems from their rich oil texture and lack of harsh turpentine odors. Students will begin by mastering basic figure painting techniques through drawing exercises on paper. Subsequent classes will transition to painting the figure on canvas, employing Renaissance methods with a loose, Impressionistic style. The series provides a comprehensive review of classic oil painting principles, following Lin's unique step-by-step process. Participants are required to use Lin Luciano Fiore's selected materials for this class which are also used for subsequent classes.
