Explore the Japanese pottery design techniques of mixing (neri), pressing into (komi), and pulling up (age) in a combined process of laminating colored clay by hand and on the wheel to create unique marbleized patterns and layered surface design. This series focuses on building confidence in technique through a multisensory approach based on the colors, textures, and shapes found in nature. Ages 18+. Create your own fused glass dish or bowl. Basic glass cutting techniques and assembling using precut glass are discussed in this workshop. A bowl design and form is easily achieved without cutting any glass. Dish size is approximately 4 inches. All skill levels are welcome. Work will be ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks.
