Offering this 6-week course in-person! Enjoy the creative processes of drawing the human figure in this exciting class mixing both classic and modern figure drawing. Students will learn to use various life drawing techniques utilizing a variety of references including a live nude model, photo images, and projected videos of the human figure (some references also will include nude models). Some off site subject mater near the museum and within walking distance downtown will be used for class projects and inspiration including visiting a professional photography studio!

Learn metalsmithing techniques, such as soldering, cutting, and bezel setting to create a one of a kind piece of your very own. Have you taken a jewelry class before? Make a companion piece to match! You can make jewelry, coasters, and bowls using slumping techniques to name a few projects. New for fall 2022! Advanced ceramics students are now eligible for independent study at CMA. This option is available for a limited number of students that have taken at least three ceramics classes at CMA. Your registration fee provides access to the studio during open studio hours, a locker for storage, access to studio tools and equipment, and a professional teaching artist mentor available to get you setup and answer any questions you may have through email. Studio hours start from 9/4/22 - 12/11/22 which coincides with our fall ceramics class schedule.
