Elevate & Create: Early Learning Through Family Art + Connection
Join the Early Childhood Resource Center for the first in a series of FREE ART CLASSES led by the Canton Museum of Art! Designed specifically for families with children 3 and under (siblings welcome!), this collaborative initiative will meet on the first Thursday of each month to provide early learning art experiences that help develop critical skills.
Over the course of the year, families will receive a toolbox of art supplies and create a shared memory book to celebrate their program experiences. Activities will include songs, storytime, gallery experiences, play, and more, with support and resources available to caregivers. Space is limited to 25 families.
JULY CLASS IS AT CANTON MUSEUM OF ART
Join a fun, hands-on family session at the museum to express feelings and share experiences through art. Museum educator Miss Amanda leads storytelling, rhyming songs, and expressive movement in the galleries, followed by art-making in the studio. Inspired by the “Earth, Fire, Water: The Elements of Watercolor & Ceramics” exhibit, families will explore the playful nature of watercolor and clay as a way to connect and build early language and imagination skills by making something and sharing what it means with one another.
REMINDER: MEET UP AT CANTON MUSEUM OF ART!
