EYES BEHIND THE MASK:  A FAMILY ART WORKSHOP --- MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17  |  11:00AM TO 3:00PM

Join us for a fun-filled day of art making inspired by the exhibition: Bohemian Chrysalis: Unveiling Cleveland's Infamous Kokoon Klub. Truly unique and outrageous, Cleveland's Kokoon Klub was comprised of a group of artists in the early 1900s and beyond who stood for originality, self-expression, and freedom of thought. Though Kokoon Klub artists regularly held exhibitions and sold their work, they didn't sell for very much in a time when modernism was not understood. In response, an annual Kokoon Klub Ball gave rise to some of the most remarkable art ever created in Cleveland — from fantastic costumes to imaginative posters, while inspiring future artists to document their own creative journeys. This School's Out Free Monday art-making event inspires self-expression and the colorful ways we reveal or conceal our identity to others.
