FABRIC PORTRAITS:  A FAMILY ART WORKSHOP --- MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2024 FROM 10:00AM TO 2:00PM 

Join us for a fun-filled day of art making inspired by the exhibition: Eyes to the Soul: The Fiber Art of Margene May (August 27, 2024- October 27, 2024) | Canton Museum of Art (cantonart.org). Margene May was a self-taught, Canton-based fiber artist with a love for textiles, collage, and the faces of people she cared about.  Learn about Margene's textural message-making and collage technique while creating vibrant portraits of your own family members and friends. This project inspires deeper looking for all ages and skill levels, and it's a great way to bond while exploring self-perception through a unique artistic process of a unique, Canton-based artist.

Workshop activities include:

• Fabric collage portrait
• Mirror yarn weaving 
• Face Quest looking game in the galleries

Recommended for ages 5+ with an adult caretaker. This is a FREE event but pre-registration is required.
