Advanced Ceramics 6:30pm Tuesdays (Prerequisite: 4 or more CMA Ceramics classes or Instructor Approval)Advanced Begins 04/11/2023, Ends 06/27/2023 Deadline to Register: 04-09-2023 12 Tuesdays, 06:30 PM-08:30 PM Room 104 Instructor: Bill Shearrow Offering this 12 week class in our ceramics studios! This class is available for advanced students that have taken at least four ceramics classes at CMA or have received instructor approval to take the class. Form, surface design, glazing, and firing will be explored in greater depth during this class. Advanced students who have taken five or more CMA ceramics classes or working at a level determined to be advanced by the instructor will be required to do their own firing in cooperation with the Canton Ceramic Artists Guild to deepen their understanding of the process. Additional costs, not included with class cost: COVID UPDATE: At this time, CMA no longer requires students and instructors to wear a face mask inside the building. (Mask policies subject to change based on CDC guidelines) $195

Ceramics Independent Study (Prerequisite: 3 CMA Ceramics classes or more)Advanced Begins 04/16/2023, Ends 07/02/2023 Deadline to Register: 04-14-2023 12 Sundays, 10:00 AM-05:00 PM Room 104 Instructor: Sarah.Debaun Advanced ceramics students are now eligible for independent study at CMA! This option is available for a limited number of students that have taken at least three ceramics classes at CMA. Your registration fee provides access to the studio during all open studio hours, a locker for storage, access to studio tools and equipment, and a professional teaching artist mentor available to get you set up and answer any questions you may have through email. Studio hours run from 4/16/23 - 7/2/23 which coincides with our winter ceramics class schedule. Students must be willing to sign an agreement and are capped at 50 lbs of clay per session. As an educational ceramics studio maintained by our Canton Ceramics Artists Guild volunteers who fire students' work, we are unable to accommodate production potters. Students with ceramics experience outside of CMA are not eligible for registration as students will need a strong working knowledge of CMA studio safety and procedures. $110
