Form, surface design, glazing, and firing will be explored in greater depth during this class. Advanced students with five sessions or the equivalent, (or working at a level determined to be advanced by the instructor) will be required to do their own firing in cooperation with the Canton Ceramic Artists Guild to deepen their understanding of the process.

Now offering this 6 week course in-person with instructor, Mallory McCrea! Learn to see like a photographer and go from taking snapshots to purposeful, well-composed images that reflect your personal vision. Master the buttons and dials on your camera and shoot in modes other than Auto. This course introduces participants to the creative and technical possibilities of digital photography. Some off site subject mater near the museum and within walking distance downtown will be used for class projects and inspiration including visiting a professional photography studio downtown! Topics include camera operation, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, lighting, and composition. New and experienced photographers are welcome. Taken the class before? Let our instructor help you find your own unique voice while learning techniques to make your story and characters come to life. See and gather inspiration from the exhibit, "Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross." Alex Ross is considered one of the greatest artists in the field of comic books of our time! Students will focus on designing different characters and create a comic by the end of the class session.
